Message First off, if I told you what I've been offered for the SMZ, you would die at what I have turned down for offers. There were only 300 or so of them. Just because the popular 150 people on this forum, who set the majority of the opinion on this forum, may not value it much more than a regular Z, I don't think that holds true on the whole. I personally prefer a non-modified car and I don't really think the prices of these cars indicate much higher of a price even if they are tastefully modified. On a car that had lots of magazine publication and popularity at its time, they usually are worth more than the average car. The SMZ will be no different. If you don't think an SMZ is worth 50% more than a regular one, you're not seeing what I do.

Let's put it this way. Let's say a 300ZX with say 2K miles on it goes for $20K. It's pretty realistic that the SMZ with 2K miles will fetch $30K (and I can tell you from experience, it's quite a bit more than that). So it's actually 50% or more. And if you then tell me a tastefully modified Z with 2K miles goes for way more than $20K, you're mistaken. Try to find someone who would buy it for $30K. You won't find that anymore. The people that want them are kids and can't get a loan. But the SMZ still has quite a bit of favor with purists who are older. Those types won't buy a modified one.

TTZMatt: did i ever think id be the guy to sell the z or go kart?
TTZMatt: no
TTZMatt: but now that ive found true love, i dont care about it anymore
